Police Reports: 2015-02-20

• Officers were dispatched to the 800 block of Elmwood Ave. 12:51 a.m. Feb. 13 when a male student was found lying on the sidewalk.
When officers arrived, the male appeared to be intoxicated. He refused a breathalyzer test but later admitted to drinking eight to 12 beers at a residence on the 700 block of N. Institute.
The male said he was distraught with regard to a female student who said she did not want to be in a relationship with him. Paramedics were called, and the male submitted to a breathalyzer, registering a .179.
He became belligerent and tried to kick police officers and medics. The male was taken to Methodist Hospital with the help of officers.
Upon arrival, his behavior had not improved, and he was transported to Peoria Country Jail on charges of aggravated assault on police, aggravated assault on medics, disorderly conduct, underage drinking and obstructing police.

• Officers were dispatched to the 1500 block of W. Bradley Ave. 12:03 a.m. Feb. 14, when a male student was discovered unconscious.
The student was found in a bathroom unresponsive but breathing. An unknown partygoer told police the male drank whiskey and several beers that night.
He was taken to OSF Hospital for further evaluation, and the party was shut down.

• Officers were dispatched to the 1500 block of Fredonia Ave 1:18 a.m. Feb. 14, when a female safety cruiser driver reported being hit with a banana.
The driver said a male student was siting on the porch of a residence and threw the banana through the van window, hitting her in the chest.
Officers administered a breathalyzer test, and the male registered a .155.
He was issued a ticket for disorderly conduct and was released.

• Officers were called to the 800 block of Underhill Street 12:30 a.m. Feb. 13 to pick up drug paraphernalia and weapons from dormitory staff.
Staff collected a cup filled with cannabis ashes and a stun gun from a female student and her male non-student friend.
Officers confiscated the items and informed the pair the items were illegal.

• Officers were dispatched to Campustown for a car accident 2:10 p.m. Feb. 16.
A female non-student and male student were simultaneously pulling out of their parking spots, when they collided. There was minor damage to the female’s car and no visible damage to the second car.
A report was written, and both were able to drive away.
