Police Reports: 2016-01-29

• An officer performing rounds heard a male student beating on the door of a residence at 3:40 a.m. Thursday, Jan. 21 on the 700 block of N. Institute Place.
She attempted to stop the male student, who proceeded to kick in a window, which shattered. The resident, another male student, came out of the building and began yelling at the male and telling him to go home.
The first male shoved the second before more officers arrived and brought the student into custody.

• An officer responded to a report of stalking at 10:28 p.m. Monday, Jan. 25.
A female student reported that her coworker, a male student, had been sending her repeated unwanted texts and following her. The male student was ordered to stop this behavior.
The victim did not want to press charges.

• Two students reported missing packages from their residences at St. James Complex at 1:15 p.m. Monday, Jan. 25. The packages were delivered to the common area of the apartment building, but when the students arrived to pick them up, they were gone.
There are no suspects, and the packages have not been found.

• A shot spotter, which is a gunshot location system, was activated at 12:57 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 23 on the 1400 block of W. Fredonia Avenue. Peoria Police and the Bradley University Police Department were notified. Upon arriving at the scene, there was no evidence of any shots. Two students were present and were questioned. They said they heard a firework go off. An officer in the area did not hear a shot go off.

• An alarm went off at the Bradley Bookstore at 2:42 a.m. Sunday, Jan. 24.
A loading dock door came open and set the alarm off while an officer was performing nightly rounds. The manager was notified and the building was secured.
