ACBU hosts ‘Workaholics’’ Erik Griffin

White girl jokes and the occasional jailbait reference were met with laughter as “Workaholics” star Erik Griffin tickled everyone’s funny bones Sept. 6 in the Student Center.

“It was the best live comedy show I’ve been to,” sophomore accounting major Aaron Zimmerman said.

The jokes revolved around the audience and Griffin’s observations of the room. He was not hesitant to offer his unique views on the world to those in the audience.

“I don’t mind going into the grey areas or really hot button topics,” Griffin said. “I’m even worse than I was. With college kids, it’s harder because you guys are so dumb sometimes and are so sensitive and so liberal.”

The more vulgar the joke, the harder the audience laughed. Griffin matched their enthusiasm by bringing members of the audience to attention. His first victim of the night was dubbed “Tank Top.”

“You are way too white to be wearing a tank top,” Griffin said. “Actually, you are so sunburnt, you look like a damn strawberry.”

Zimmerman said Griffin’s jokes were very funny and on point.

A crowd favorite was Griffin’s view of online dating profiles and the actual dates themselves.

According to Griffin, all online pictures should be 360 degrees and have a rotation option. As for date night, Griffin said day one is when all opinions of premarital sex, AIDS and kids should be shared.

The show concluded with audience questions about Griffin’s role on “Workaholics.”
