Police Reports: 2017-03-03

Officers were dispatched after a report of an unknown male disturbing two female students at 4:45 p.m. Feb. 28 at Bradley Park.

The female students said when they were walking through the park, the male jumped in front of them and asked them questions that made them uncomfortable, such as asking the two students if they would twerk for him. The students contacted BUPD.

The suspect could not be located, and the case was turned over to the Peoria Park Police.

 

A female employee reported a male non-student for touching a female student on the head at 4:40 p.m. Feb. 28 in Michel Student Center.

The female employee said she saw the male in the food court for an hour talking to students, and she witnessed the male pat a female student on the head as the student was leaving the food court. The employee then contacted the police.

Police arrived at the location and determined the male has a history of disturbing the property.

The officers banned the male from campus. The female student decided not to press charges.

 

Employees contacted the police after a male non-student attempted to trespass at 3:09 p.m. Feb. 26 at the Cullom-Davis library.

The male tried to enter the library but didn’t have a student ID. The library employees asked for his ID, and they determined the male was on the campus ban list. The employees told the male he could not enter, and he left.

Officers were called but could not locate the male.

 

A female student reported being a robbed at 5:01 p.m. Feb. 25 on the corner of Fredonia Avenue and Duryea Place.

She reported an unknown male approached her and asked for her wallet. The student said she gave the male her wallet, and he fled.

Another student found the wallet near the Duryea Parking Deck, and the female student said $5 was missing.

According to a safety alert sent out last night, BUPD determined the female student had fabricated the report.

 

Officers received a report of an unconscious female student at 2:08 a.m. Feb. 25 at 1307 Bradley Ave.

The student’s friends had called BUPD and reported the female student had been drinking and was unconscious. Officers located the student in her dorm with her friends, and they said they had been drinking at a fraternity.

The student was treated and transported to OSF Saint Francis.
