Campus club sparks pinterest

Those who find themselves scrolling through Pinterest for hours, creating new boards and pinning the perfect wedding, house and closet might find interest in Bradley’s new Pinterest Club.

From crafting to room decor, to food and fashion, the newest Hilltop addition is a great way to meet new friends and get involved, even if for students who aren’t familiar with Pinterest.

Every member will be part of a board or category to come up with an event for that board. In addition, there will be local crafters that will come to share their knowledge and teach new crafts and skills to the club members.

The club was founded by freshman communications major Madison King, as a way to share her passion of Pinterest with others on campus.

“Pinterest has been an obsession of mine for a while now,” King said. “When I came to Bradley, I bonded with a few girls on our love for Pinterest, and the idea of starting a Pinterest club came from that conversation.”

An informational meeting is scheduled for 6 p.m. Oct. 3 at a location to be determined. During this meeting, costs, events and scheduling will be discussed. Regular meetings are going to be every other Thursday at 6 p.m.

“I really hope students have lots of fun in this club,” King said. “I also want this club to be a place to meet new people that share your interests and create friendships with those people.”
