Wonders and Blunders: Celebs Highs and Lows: 2016-02-05

Blunder:
When given the option to be an international pop sensation adored by millions of girls or play golf, the answer seems pretty obvious.

However, that isn’t the case for One Direction star Niall Horan, as he steps away from his music career for the rest of the year in order to launch a new golf agency.

I understand he has the luxury and the right to make this decision, but it’s ridiculously rude and ignorant to disappoint fans and put them through the Zayn situation all over again. Why terminate something good if it hasn’t run its full course?

Fans of 1D will just have to learn to accept the “temporary” resignation, as Horan does seem to have a calling in the sport of golf as well. He has caddied for golf legend Rory McIlroy and has big name players helping him with “Modest Golf Management.”

At least he’s making moves for his future, as other band mates Louis Tomlinson and Liam Payne will most likely be left behind in the dust as Harry Styles pulls a Nick Jonas and launches a solo career. If 1D fans didn’t see this one coming, they’re lying to themselves.

Wonder:
I can’t say I’ve ever been jealous of a seven year old, but considering rising star Jacob Tremblay’s recent success in 2016, I can now say differently. At the Screen Actors Guild Awards (SAG Awards), he had the opportunity to snag pictures with fellow Canadian Rachel McAdams and Leo DiCaprio.

Tremblay was nominated for best supporting actor at the SAG Awards, but lost to Idris Elba. After witnessing Tremblay’s stellar performance in “Room,” I really wish he would have secured the win, but his charismatic nature totally overshadowed any possible disappointment.

He managed to deliver a hilarious one-liner while presenting an award with co-star Brie Larson, and danced with Ellen on her show following the awards.

Not to mention, he did manage a win at the Critics’ Choice Awards, where he accepted the award for Best Young Actor/Actress.
