  • Dispatched officers arrived to a residence on the 1800 block of Laura Ave. around 3 a.m. March 9. A male student said he was having issues with his roommate, another male student.  The first student said the second student was upset with him because he called the police on a party the second student was hosting at their house. The first student confronted the second student, and the first student went into his room. The second student kicked his door, so the first student opened the door and hit the second student in his mouth. Sometime during the fight, the first student said the second student threatened to kill him. The first student said he did not want to press charges. The second student was issued a ticket for disorderly conduct and referred to Residential Life. The second student stayed at a friend’s house for the night.

  • A belligerent male caused a scene in University Hall at 3:50 p.m. March 13. Officers arrived and found the male student. He was surrounded by friends who were trying to calm him down. The officers requested the male’s ID, but he would not comply and tried to walk away. An officer stopped the male from leaving and the male swung his fist, hitting the officer in the head.  The male was taken into custody. It was noted before the officers arrived, the male damaged a fire extinguisher panel.  He was charged with aggravated assault/battery on police, resisting arrest, disorderly conduct, criminal damage to property, possession of a fake ID and possession of a controlled substance.

  • A male student was walking with an open container of alcohol at the intersection Bradley Ave. and University St. around 12:40 a.m. Sunday. As a patrol car reached the male, he tossed the container on the street. The officer stopped the male and asked for his ID. The male said, “Don’t you have anything better to do?” The male had a strong odor of alcohol and said he drank three mixed drinks at a Frink Ave. residence. The male refused a breathalyzer test. He was referred to Residential Life and received a ticket for underage drinking. He also received verbal warnings for littering and for possession of liquor in public.

  •  An officer was dispatched to Williams Hall around 3:45 a.m. Sunday on a report of females carrying two ladders and a 2001 composite picture. The officer found the ladders outside of Williams and heard voices inside a room laughing. He contacted the three female students and they denied taking any items. Upon further questioning, they admitted to taking the items from a residence in the 1500 block of Bradley Ave. as a prank. A male student resident was contacted and the property returned. The females were referred to residential life.
