One-on-One: Who will win the Super Bowl?

Denver Broncos

The Denver Broncos are the best team in football this season. They’re the Super Bowl favorite in the AFC.

And how could they not be?

The Broncos offense is going to be almost impossible to stop. The offseason addition of Wes Welker gives them one of the best slot receivers in football to go along with Demaryius Thomas and Eric Decker.

Second round pick Montee Ball will give the team a legit running back to go with their potent passing attack.

It also does not hurt to have the greatest quarterback of all time under center in Peyton Manning.

Manning will have a field day with so many weapons. He may be 37-years-old, but the 16-year veteran can still play. I expect Welker to have a monster season out of the slot, and when teams try to slow him down, Thomas and Decker will be able to make plays.

I will be shocked if the Broncos are not the highest scoring team in football this season.

Their defense will also be solid. Losing Von Miller to a six-game suspension hurts, but he’ll be back in plenty of time to make an impact when it matters most.

The only question is if the Broncos offense can get it done when the weather turns cold. I think they can and will be crowned Super Bowl Champions in February.

San Francisco 49ers

While fantasy football drafts are happening all over campus, one question is on every football fan’s mind.

Who will win the Super Bowl?

This question is very tough because there are so many contenders from each conference looking to hoist the Vince Lombardi trophy come February.

There is one team looking for a little thing I like to call redemption.

This year redemption is spelled: San Francisco 49ers.

The 49ers are coming off a Super Bowl run last season where they lost to the Ravens.

But this team, led by third year quarterback Colin Kaepernick, added some help for their quarterback by adding top receiver Anquan Boldin. Kaepernick still has tight end Vernon Davis and running back Frank Gore which will make his life under center much easier.

Along with many returning members of their top defense from last season, this team is a force to be reckoned with. The 49ers will again have one of the best defenses in the NFL and will be able to win low scoring games because of it.

So NFL fans, look for another matchup including the always fun to watch San Francisco 49ers.

This year, without a blackout.
