Bradley hires Chris Reynolds as new Director of Athletics

Bradley University has named Peoria native Chris Reynolds as the 10th Athletics Director, as stated in a press release Monday evening.

Reynolds, who was the Deputy Director of Athletics and Recreation at Northwestern University since 2012, will begin his responsibilities as Director of Athletics immediately.

“Chris Reynolds is a proven leader with impressive credentials, a wide range of experience in athletics administration, and a passion for the student-athlete experience,” University President Joanne Glasser stated. “We are proud to welcome him home to Peoria to lead Bradley Athletics forward.”

Reynolds is a graduate of Indiana University, where he earned his Bachelor of Arts in 1993, law degree in 1996 and doctorate in 2012.

He was also a four-year letterwinner of Indiana’s basketball team, leading the Hoosiers to Big Ten titles in 1991 and 1993, along with a Final Four appearance in 1992.

In the Department of Athletics press release, Reynolds expressed his excitement in returning to Peoria.

“Bradley has an excellent reputation for academics, and the athletics facilities are phenomenal,” Reynolds stated. “My family and I are very much looking forward to being a part of the Bradley community.”

Before his time at Northwestern, Reynolds held athletic administrative positions at Indiana, Michigan State University, Western Michigan University and the University of Notre Dame.

Reynolds will be introduced to the public during a press conference at noon Wednesday, March 18 in Renaissance Coliseum.
