Peoria Fine Art Fair Sept. 28 & 29
Starting at 10 a.m. Saturday, Peoria is throwing their 51st annual Peoria Fine Arts Fair. The gallery will consist of 150 national and international artists to our award winning All-American city. This is an event that is not worth missing. Peoria is offering a very rare, exciting opportunity for Central Illinois.
Entry fee: Adults $5 for a day and $7 for the weekend; Kids under 12 are free

Mike and Joe Sept. 28
Crusens II is bringing in another cover band. This is a big student favorite on the hilltop. Mike and Joe play a variation of 90s music, to popular music, like Mumford and Sons covers. Take a visit to Crusens this Saturday; it’s hard to be disappointed when these guys come to town.

Black Sheep Café Sept. 29
The screamo and emo scene is back again in Springfield this weekend. The acts will begin at 7 p.m., and the Black Sheep Café will feature: Our Lady, Lord Snow, My Dad, Yusuke and Mystery Gift. If you’re looking for a close show for just $5, head on down to Springfield.
Bark in the Park October 13
Are you a dog owner in Peoria? Register for the Peoria Humane Society’s annual Bark in the Park. This will be a fundraiser that will raise money for humane education, spay/neuter procedures, cruelty rescue, volunteers, community awareness and adoption programs. Go downtown to the Peoria Riverfront and walk around to raise money for pets in need.
