Peoria Art Guild Dia De Los Muertos Exhibition – Nov. 1
In Mexico, folks celebrate Dia De Los Muertos, or “Day of the Dead.” In light of this, the Peoria Art Guild is presenting a fascinating exhibition, which is touching on this traditional holiday that celebrates the spirits of the dead. Live entertainment, hors d’oeuvres and drinks will be provided. The event runs from 9 p.m. to midnight Nov. 1 at the Foster Arts Center Building on 203 Harrison St. in Peoria. Members of the Art Guild can get advance tickets for $20, non-members for $30 and tickets at the door are $40. All tickets can be purchased at www.peoriaartguild.org/!/DDM

Peoria Rivermen vs. Mississippi Riverkings – Nov. 1
The Rivermen fight the Riverkings in what is sure to be a game for the ages! The game starts at 7:15 p.m. at the Peoria Civic Center, so get ready for some Rivermen action. Thanks to Pekin Insurance, fans who go to Friday’s game will get to meet Calum Worthy, who plays Dez on the Disney Channel show “Austin and Ally”. The audience will have the opportunity to get autographs and pictures with Worthy throughout the game. Any fans of the Rivermen or Worthy won’t want to miss this. Salsa at CAC: A Latin Dance Event – Nov. 1
It’s a beautiful Friday night, so why not go dancing? From 8:30 p.m. to 12:30 a.m. at the Contemporary Art Center of Peoria, you can learn the basics of Latin dancing, including the Salsa. There’s a dance lesson from 8:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. followed by open dancing from 9:30 p.m. to 12:30 a.m. DJ Ed Caballero, also know as, El Dueno De La Salsa, will provide music. The best part is a partner is not required to learn the secrets of the Latin dances. The event costs $3 for CAC members and $6 for non-members.
