Spring Trends: Shoes

After drooling over Spring Fashion Week earlier this year, the hottest new trends are among us. From sneakers and flats to heels and booties, top designers are unveiling their newest collections faster than we can save up for them. So if you’re looking rock that new spring style on leftover holiday money, check out this guide. Don’t worry though, with the unpredictable mid-west weather, it’s possible you won’t need these sandals for sometime.

Thick Straps

Neutral sandals with wide straps and a low heel give a springy, put-together feel to any outfit. These Paul and Joe sandals will cost you a hefty $350. H & M offers a similar style for $40.

Covered Sandals

These bohemian styles sandals provide a more fashionable alternative to the classic flip flop. These Hermes sandals will put you out $660 but American Eagle has a pair for $30.

Thin Ankle Straps

Ermanno Scervino and many other designers debuted these thin ankle strap pumps in bright spring colors. And if you don’t have the $300 to spend on these, stop by Charlotte Russe for a $32 pair.

The Essential Black Ankle Boot

A year-round staple, especially for colder climates, Richard Nicoll showed off his version of the classic bootie. If $330 seems a little extreme, try Forever 21’s pair for $29.
