Three reasons to look forward to the new iPhone 12

That time of the year has arrived once again when Apple releases another batch of new products.

On Oct. 13, following several months of advertising, CEO Tim Cook presented information on the new iPhone–officially named the iPhone 12–and other Apple products in a virtual event called “Hi, Speed.” In case you missed the event, here are three reasons why you should look forward to buying the new iPhone 12:

1. Apple will be releasing four new iPhone 12 models that will vary in price. We all know that Apple can be a luxurious brand, especially when the prices of the iPhone 11 crept up into the four-digit price range. It’s no surprise that this occurs again in a few of the new iPhone 12 models, with the most expensive model priced at $1,099.

Out of those four models, one will be an “iPhone 12 mini,” the least expensive model this year. Don’t let the price fool you, this model is just as powerful as the rest of the iPhone 12 lineup. At $649, with 5G connectivity and a refreshed 5.4-inch, edge-to-edge display that was last seen in the iPhone 4, the iPhone 12 mini will cohesively bring nostalgia and power to the hands of Apple consumers.

2. As stated before, all the new iPhone 12 models will now have 5G connectivity instead of 4G, as seen in the iPhone 11, thus explaining the focus on speed in the event’s slogan. Not only will this next-generation connectivity greatly impact your day-to-day life, but it will also improve your current investment in virtual environments. With these new iPhones designed to maximize 5G connectivity’s speed, there won’t be a need to keep refreshing social media apps or trying to reconnect to Zoom.

3. For all the artistic consumers in the technology market at the moment, Apple will be producing new iPhones in a variety of colors and shades. For the iPhone 12 and mini models, the color choices include black, white, blue, red and green, similar to those of the iPhone 11. As for the iPhone 12 Pro and Pro Max, with 6.1 and 6.7-inch screens, their colors will range from the usual assortment of gold, silver, graphite, as well as a new dark blue option.

Undoubtedly, Apple consumers will consider the differences in high-processing intervals among the new iPhone models, but they will also wonder which colors will most likely complement their style and overall aesthetic, which can be just as important.

In addition to the vibrant phone selections, Apple is appealing to its more creative consumers with a major upgrade in its camera: night mode. This function will allow for improved photo quality in dimly lit areas which iPhone cameras were previously lacking in.

Preordering for these phones begins on the Apple website on Oct. 16, with product shipment beginning on Oct. 23.
