Jason Derulo to perform with Mike Posner

Many students are excited for the upcoming performance of Jason Derulo and Mike Posner this spring.

“This is a really big deal for me. I’m pretty excited,” sophomore secondary education major Ben Greene said. “Jason Derulo and Mike Posner are both really, really good. I’m definitely planning on going.”

The Activities Council of Bradley University is bringing the performers to campus April 12. ACBU announced the spring concert artists at Late Night BU last weekend.

Freshman psychology major Tyler Dix said she is also looking forward to the concert.

“I’m really excited,” she said. “I really enjoyed seeing Weezer last semester, and I didn’t expect them to bring another big band so soon. It was really unexpected and really exciting. I’m definitely looking forward to the show.”

Sophomore graphic design major Mariah Donner said she was planning on going with friends.

“I think it’s going to be a lot of fun,” she said. “I’m not a huge fan of either of them but my friends are, so I’ll probably go with them.”

A few students said they didn’t know who either both or one of the performers are.

“I would go to see Jason Derulo, but I don’t know who the other guy is,” sophomore studio art major Jori Lee said. “I don’t even know many of Derulo’s songs, honestly, but the ones I do know I like a lot.”

ACBU chose appealing artists for the spring concert, she said.

“I think ACBU picked the performers well. They managed to get two semi-new artists who are getting pretty big,” she said. “Maybe playing here will help to boost their popularity too, especially since a lot of people still don’t know who one or both of them are. It’ll be fun for the students and good for the performers.”

Tickets for the spring concert will be available Monday at the arena box office.
