Police Reports 2.15.13

  • While on patrol at Bradley Ave. and Cooper St. at 8:35 p.m. Feb. 7 an officer saw a vehicle without his headlights on. The officer stopped the vehicle to speak with the male student driver and could smell marijuana. The male was put in handcuffs so both he and his vehicle could be searched.  The officer found drug paraphernalia and marijuana, which was later tested and confirmed. The male was issued a ticket for driving without his headlights when required and for possession of marijuana (under 30 grams) and three counts of possession of drug paraphernalia.

 

  • An officer was dispatched at 3:15 a.m. Saturday to the 1600 block of Ayers Ave. on a report of vehicle vandalism. The male student owner of the vehicle said a non-student female was angry at a non-student male who was inside of the residence. The male said the female threw a chair at the house and then used part of the broken chair to damage his vehicle. She was given a notice to appear on criminal damage to property and asked to not come back to the residence.

 

  • An officer responded to a call of a retail theft at a 1200 Main St. business at 7:45 a.m. Tuesday. The officer spoke to the complainant who said the theft just took place. She said she saw three suspects enter the store and remove merchandise valued at $437. She said they left in a black four-door vehicle. Police searched the area with negative results.
