Police Reports 2.8.13

  • An officer was dispatched around 10:30 p.m. Jan. 30 to 1005 St. James St. on a report of a suspicious male. The officer located a male student suspect, who said he was trying to find a female student who he had class with. According to the report, the male was looking in multiple buildings of the St. James apartment complex to locate the female and was disturbing residents. The officer located the female, who said the male was stalking her and she was alarmed by his behavior. She said the male once asked to walk her home after class in order to find out where she lives. The officer told the male to not have any more contact with the female, and the male said he understood.

  • A possible domestic disturbance brought officers to the 800 block of Frink St. at 1:45 a.m. last Friday. Officers spoke to a female student who said no one in the apartment was having a physical fight; they were just being loud after drinking alcohol at Pitch Bar down the street. Officers also spoke with a male student, who said the same thing as the female.  After speaking to both, the officers determined the female and male needed to be separated, and escorted the female back to her residence.  The officers instructed both the female and the male to have no contact for the rest of the evening. While the officers transported the female to her residence, the Peoria Police Department dispatched officers back to the Frink residence, saying an intoxicated male kept calling 911 to check on his female friend. The male first lied to the officers who came back, until dispatch rang his phone after tracing the call. He was arrested for disorderly conduct, abuse of 911 and obstructing police.

  • The Peoria Police Department dispatched an officer at 11:15 p.m. Saturday to the 1100 block of Main Street on a report of an intoxicated male who injured himself. The officer responded and located the male student. He admitted to the officer that he consumed several alcoholic drinks. He did not want to talk about how he received the injuries. The officer spoke to a male student friend who called 911 to report the incident upon discovering the injured male. Medics arrived and the male was transported to Methodist Medical Center for further treatment.
