Coach Ford “disappointed” by Barnes’ arrest

Bradley Men’s Basketball Auston Barnes was arrested early Sunday morning on a domestic battery charge. As of Monday afternoon, Barnes remained in Peoria County Jail awaiting a bond hearing.

“I am aware of Auston’s arrest early Sunday morning and it is a disappointing situation.” head coach Geno Ford said. “I want to make sure that I know the complete story and we are just in the beginning stages of gathering information.”

Barnes averaged 8.6 points per game last season and started 31 out of 32 games for the Braves, his first full season on the Hilltop after transferring from Central Michigan.
