Bradley battled heat and humidity at the Badger Invitational last weekend and finished fourth in Madison, Wisconsin.
The Braves’ 11-over-par total of 875 marked the second-lowest tournament score in the team’s history.
Senior Caroline McConnell led the charge with the best outing of her career. She opened with a four-under 68, followed by a 69 in round two and a 72 in the final round. Her 209 total tied for third individually and stands as the second-lowest 54-hole score recorded by a Bradley golfer.
The Braves showed depth behind McConnell. Junior Jillian Cosler carded a 222 to tie for 24th, while sophomore Alyssa Mixon followed closely with a 224, finishing tied for 35th. Senior Allison Pacocha added a 226 to tie for 42nd, and sophomore Peyton Coburn contributed a 230. Freshman Addison Jennings, competing as an individual, gained valuable early-season experience with a 244.
The Braves’ strong showing was a milestone for the team and a statement against a challenging field. Bradley finished ahead of several Big Ten opponents, including Iowa and Wisconsin, proving the team can compete at the same level as larger schools.
The Braves will travel to Iowa City on September 29 and 30 for the Diane Thomason Invitational, looking to build off this early-season momentum.
