- On Sept. 19 at 7:48 a.m., BUPD was called to a dorm room in Geisert Hall after a female student reported that a female suspect walked into her room and slept at the corner of her bed while she was asleep. The student said she left the door unlocked at her roommate’s request, then fell asleep. At 3:30 a.m., the female suspect walked in, reportedly intoxicated, and curled up at the edge of the bed, kicking the student and calling her “Alexis.” The student pulled the sheets, and after multiple requests to leave, the suspect left at 3:37 a.m. Initially, the student reported the incident to a professor, but in the morning, she was advised to call BUPD as well.
- On Sept. 23 at 3:49 a.m., BUPD was dispatched to Comstock Hall after a dispatcher observed a male suspect carrying around a large, thin circular object. When officers arrived, the suspect abandoned the object – a large coil of electrical wire – in the black stroller he was using to transport it before jumping over the Whittier Primary School fence. Officers searched for the suspect but were unable to find him. Because BUPD recovered the wire, they concluded there was no need for further investigation.
- Two vehicles were backing up in the parking lot by Wyckoff Hall on Sept. 16 at 11:59 a.m. when BUPD was called to the scene. The female student stopped backing up, but the other driver continued until the vehicle’s bumper hit hers. Damages were minor, and no one was injured. However, when officers arrived to collect the report, the unaffiliated suspect was very aggravated as he yelled profanities and caused a scene while asking for the officer’s supervisor, then asked for another after that one arrived. Once three BUPD officers were present, he asked for PPD officers as well. After two PPD officers arrived, he was banned from Bradley’s campus, but no charges were filed.
- BUPD received a silent witness report on Sept. 17 stating that a fraternity put up flyers for a “rape” party on Fizz. Officers spoke with the fraternity’s president, who said it was actually a “rave” party and noted it could’ve been altered with AI by someone else. No further investigation was opened.
