Morton hosts annual week-long Pumpkin Festival

The Morton Chamber of Commerce presents a week of autumn fun from Sept. 8 to Sept. 15. The festival features vendors as well as events including boat races, decorating contests, a pageant, a pie eating contest, bingo, musical entertainment, pumpkin pancakes breakfast and a parade. BU Police Department to offer coffee and conversation

Members of the Bradley University Police Department will be available to talk to students in the Michel Student Center Atrium on Sept. 13 from 9 a.m. until 12 p.m. Coffee, hot chocolate, donuts and more will be provided free.

This Coffee with a Cop will promote the BUPD’s Blue Ribbon Run on Sept. 15.

Career center hosts Turner Construction Company

On Monday, Sept. 10, the Turner Construction Company will be in Jobst Hall, room 302 to discuss upcoming job opportunities with students. The event will be held from 12 p.m. to 1 p.m. Contact the Smith Career Center with any questions.

Bradley ranked among top 15 in student engagement

Bradley University ranked 12th in student engagement in the Wall Street Journal/Times Higher Education College Ranking that were released Thursday. Bradley remains the top rated school in Illinois in student engagement for the third straight year. Bradley dropped in the rankings after finishing eighth last year and sixth in 2016.

Bradley was ranked 186th overall out of the 968 schools in the rankings.
