Working on memory

A memory workshop hosted by the Academic Success Center will take place this Monday from 6 to 7 p.m. in Westlake Hall room 14. The workshop will focus on tools and tips for students use to obtain a more effective memory when studying. For more information, contact the Academic Success Center at success@bradley.edu.

Super shuffle for American Cancer Society

The American Cancer Society will be hosting a Super Shuffle 5K run this Sunday at 10:30 a.m. on Grandview Drive near Prospect Road in Peoria Heights. Registration is $50 and all proceeds benefit the American Cancer Society. Contact Audrey Williams at audrey.williams@cancer.org for more information.

Criminal law and the new cannabis law

The Peoria County Bar Association is holding a seminar to discuss the new cannabis law and what it means for the future of Illinois today from 1 to 4:30 p.m. The seminar will be held in the Spalding Pastoral Center located at 419 NE Madison Ave. For more information, contact Linda Raineri at 309-674-6049.

Job fair fundamentals

The Smith Career Center is holding a “5 must-do’s before the job fair” workshop on Feb. 5 from 3 to 4 p.m. in the Michel Student Center room 203. The workshop will go over basic resume critiques, how to dress, elevator speeches and how to prepare for the next steps after the fair. Self-defense class

The Bradley University Police Department will host a situational awareness and self-defense class on Feb. 4 from 6 to 8 p.m. and from 5:30-7:30p.m. on Feb. 12 in Markin Center room 30. Anyone with questions should contact BradleyUPolice@bradley.edu.
