Police Reports

  • A female student was sitting on the step outside her residence in the 1600 block of Fredonia Ave. around 1 a.m. Sept. 26.  An unidentified male walked past and said hello. The male grabbed the female’s cell phone and fled. The female followed the male and saw him enter a silver car with several other people. Officers located the male and the people in the car by the Peoria County Sheriff’s Department, and the phone was returned to the female.

 

  • Two female students were driving together northbound in the 800 block of Cooper St. 1:20 a.m. Sept. 26. One female noticed a silver car following closely behind her. The female stopped at the stop sign on Cooper Street and Laura Avenue, and the same car from the above report pulled in front and two unidentified people got out. The female tried to put the car in reverse, but two vehicles were behind her. The unidentified people saw the two vehicles and ran back to their vehicle and drove east on Laura Avenue and southbound in the 800 block of Cooper St.

 

  • Officers were dispatched to the second floor of Student Apartment Complex at 828 N. Underhill for a loud party around 12:40 a.m. Saturday. The officers entered the building and saw a large group of people run from the hallway into an apartment and attempt to close the door. Officers saw around 35 people and told them to leave. A male student approached the officers and was uncooperative. The male was arrested for disorderly conduct, obstructing an officer and obstructing identification. He was transported to Peoria County Jail.
  • Officers on patrol saw two male students walking down an alley in the 1400 block of Main St. 1 a.m. Sunday. Officers saw one male put a red plastic cup and small plastic bag next to a garage. The male ran away and officers found the cup full of alcohol with a small plastic bag of drug paraphernalia. Officers found the male in the 1500 block of Main St. The male was arrested and sent to Peoria County Jail for drug possession, littering and illegal possession of liquor on a public way. The other male was found in the 1000 block of University St. and received a ticket for drug possession but was released.
