Police Reports 4.26.13

  • An unknown person contacted the Bradley University Police Department around 2:30 a.m. Friday and reported people shouting and throwing bottles in the 1700 block of Callender Ave. Officers arrived and saw several people standing outside. A male student admitted to breaking a table in the street with a male student friend. The first male received a ticket for disorderly conduct and was referred to Residential Life. The second male received a ticket at a later date. The males cleaned the glass off of the street.

 

  • An officer was dispatched to the first floor bathroom of University Hall on a report of a damaged faucet around 1:20 a.m. Saturday. The faucet was broken off, which caused the floor to fill up with water and leak into the main entrance. The officer spoke to people in the security office, but they did not see anyone enter or leave the bathroom. The broken faucet was logged into BUPD as evidence. A Bradley operating engineer was dispatched and took over the situation.

 

  • While officers were dealing with a large party in the 1100 block of University Street around 1:20 a.m. Sunday, a male non-student party attendee threw a pair of his tennis shoes in the street. An officer told the male to pick up his shoes. The male went out into traffic before the officer could tell him to wait until traffic stopped and was almost hit by a car.The officers attempted to put the male in handcuffs, but he resisted and would not listen. Finally, the officers put the male in handcuffs and into a squad car with a cage. At one point, the male was banging his head against the cage. He was transported to Peoria County Jail for resisting arrest, disorderly conduct, obstructing traffic and littering.

 

  • Following The Band Perry concert, a student security worker at the Renaissance Coliseum flagged down an officer because of intoxicated males in one of the bathrooms. The officer was informed that Bradley Student Security personnel had also dealt with the same males earlier. The student said that the two intoxicated males were arguing.The officer asked one of the males for his ID and asked what happened. The male did not answer truthfully, and he was escorted out.
