Police reports: 2018-09-21

  • On Sept. 12, a male student notified police saying that someone attempted to cash two of his checks. The student said that his car was broken into two days earlier at 1608 W Barker, and the checks were missing from his console.
  • Officers were notified by a concerned staff member who witnessed a student driving erratically on Sept. 14 at approximately 9:50 a.m. According to the witness, the driver went through two intersections near Duryea Pl. and St. James St. and almost hit several pedestrians. Police tracked down the driver who said she was in a hurry and would drive more safely in the future.
  • On Sept. 14 at approximately 9 p.m., on patrol BUPD officers heard loud music coming from a fraternity house at 1408 W Fredonia that could be heard from several blocks away. The house had received numerous complaints in the past, so they were issued a citation.
  • At approximately 3 a.m. on Sept. 19, BUPD was called to 1200 W Main St. after an intoxicated student was unable to pay his cab fare. The male student blew a .250 BAC and was then found to be in possession of a fake ID. He was then transported to Methodist Hospital by paramedics for further evaluation.
