- At 11:50 p.m. on April 8 at Harper Hall, residential advisers went to a room after hearing loud noises and discovered that three students were listening to music and drinking. After the students refused to show identification, BUPD arrived and asked for their identification, as well as for a PBT (Preliminary Breath Test) to be conducted. The students showed their identification but refused to take the test, except for one who received a 0.00. After being told that the other students would receive a $375 citation if they did not take the test, the students still refused and were cited. The issue was reported to student conduct.
- At 12:13 a.m. on April 9 at Sigma Alpha Epsilon, an unknown individual blew vape smoke directly into a fire alarm in the house, which resulted in the fire alarm going off. The building was evacuated by the Peoria Fire Department but residents were allowed re-entry shortly afterwards.
- Around 2:03 a.m. on April 12 at Shell Gas Station on Main St., BUPD spotted a vehicle that they identified as belonging to the suspect from a home invasion. The suspect then grabbed the taser and eventually was taken into custody after backup officers were called. A PPD officer obtained minor injuries after being hit in the mouth by the suspect.
