- On April 2 at 2:59 a.m., an unidentified individual broke the window of a student’s vehicle that was parked on N. Glenwood Ave and subsequently stole it. After a call from the student’s mother informed BUPD that the vehicle had a tracking device, the Peoria Police Department was notified of its location. The vehicle was later recovered in an off-campus parking lot with visible damage. PPD processed it for fingerprints before having it towed.
- On March 28 at 5 p.m., a student was walking outside Geisert Hall when an unknown man approached them. The man claimed to need money to purchase medication for his daughter. The student provided $105 and was reportedly assured that the money would be repaid. No contact information was exchanged, and the suspect has yet to return the funds as promised. BUPD has been unable to contact the student.
- On April 1 at 5:30 p.m., an unidentified individual broke the window of a student’s car parked on N. Glenwood Ave in an unsuccessful attempt to steal it. The suspect rummaged through the car’s interior and broke the steering column. Despite disarray in the vehicle, no items were reported missing. BUPD has no suspects at this time.
- On March 28 at 2:31 p.m., a non-Bradley-affiliated adult male was observed carrying an open container of alcohol while walking on the sidewalk near Constance Hall. The individual was stopped by BUPD for violating Bradley’s open alcohol policy. He was instructed to empty the beverage and was informed that he was banned from Bradley property. No arrest was made.
