Police Reports: December 3, 2021

  • At 1:53 p.m. on Nov. 18 on W. St. James Avenue, a student reported receiving a threatening phone call from his girlfriend’s father. In the call, the man blamed the student for his daughter moving out of the family home. The father threatened the student during the call, which prompted the student to block the number and report it to the police. The student was given information about obtaining an order of protection.

  • Around 12:22 a.m. on Nov. 20 at SW Jefferson Avenue, a student lost consciousness on a shuttle bus coming back to Bradley from a club downtown. The police were notified and quickly responded to the scene. Once there, they handed out three citations for underage drinking, one to the unconscious student and to her other two friends. After responding to the scene, they went back to the club for further investigation.

  • At 6:52 p.m. on Nov. 23 in Sisson Hall, an unknown person activated a fire extinguisher on the fourth floor hallway, which caused the fire alarm to go off. The Peoria Fire Department responded to the scene and decided to let the extinguisher fully discharge instead of ventilating it and setting off the alarm again.

  • Around 8:20 p.m. on Nov. 27 at W. Bradley Avenue, a student called Bradley Police upon hearing an argument in an adjacent apartment. When the police arrived, they found a couple (a male and a female) arguing in their apartment. The male had marks on his body from his girlfriend hitting him during the argument. The female was arrested and transported to the county jail by Peoria Police.
