Police Reports: February 24, 2023

  • At 7 p.m. on Feb. 15 on the 1500 block of W. Callender Avenue, a student was accused of being mean to another student’s cat. The accused student allegedly threw the cat and is now living in a different place for the time being.                                                                                                         
  • At 3 a.m. on Feb. 19 on the 1800 block of W. Callender, Peoria Police Department responded to a call that an individual had been shot. Peoria and BUPD officers searched the area and found no evidence of a crime, as well as no ShotSpotter alerts nor calls about gunshots in the area.          
  • Around 9 p.m. on Feb. 19 on the 800 block of N. Frink Street, a Bradley student had two tires stolen from a parked vehicle. Another incident occurred on Feb. 20 on the 900 block of W. Bradley Avenue where one tire was stolen from another parked vehicle.                                            
  • Around 2 a.m. on Feb. 20 on the 1000 block of W. Saint James Avenue, Post-it notes were placed on the door of Bradley student’s apartment calling them “Karens” and “bitches” in regards to the students calling the police on their neighbors for playing loud music. BUPD talked to possible suspects in the apartment above and issued them a warning. The suspects said that they did not place the notes.
