On Feb. 23 at 2:13 a.m., a female student reportedly entered her former boyfriend’s fraternity house without permission by using the access code. She entered his room unannounced with the intent to retrieve her personal belongings. Their accounts of the ensuing argument vary, but both statements acknowledge that pushing occurred and that a stun gun was used on the former boyfriend. Both students were arrested on charges of domestic battery, with the female student facing additional charges of unauthorized use of a weapon and criminal trespass of property. Both were transported to Peoria County Jail and held until Feb. 25.
On Feb. 25 at 4 p.m., a resident advisor conducting a room inspection for mites at the residents’ request in Harper Hall confiscated a vape pen from a student’s desk drawer. The pen was later tested by BUPD and found to contain THC. The resident stated that the pen did not belong to her, claiming that it was left by a non-Bradley-affiliated friend from Chicago.
On Feb. 24 at 7:45 p.m., paramedics were dispatched to Wendle Hall in response to a female student experiencing sudden illness while eating. The student reported that she began vomiting uncontrollably after consuming Chinese food and also experienced dizziness, weakness and a sensation of overheating. She was transported to OSF Hospital for further evaluation.
On Feb. 22 at 4:42 p.m., BUPD responded to a burglar alarm at the St. James Apartment Complex. Upon arrival, the officers spoke with the resident, a Bradley student, who stated that the alarm was triggered after they failed to deactivate it in time upon entering. The student confirmed that everything was fine.
