Police Reports: March 3, 2023

  • At 10 p.m. on Feb. 21 at Williams Hall, a Bradley student sent private photos to an unknown scammer via social media. After the pictures were sent, the scammer demanded $300 and threatened to leak the pictures if the student did not comply. The student sent the money and the pictures weren’t released. The incident was reported the next day.                                               
  • At 10:50 p.m. on Feb. 23 at Zoo Nightclub in downtown Peoria, a Bradley student was bumped into and claimed that their wallet was stolen from their front pocket at that time. After the interaction, the student went up to the bar and noticed their wallet was no longer in their pocket. The incident wasn’t reported until Feb. 28 and the wallet hasn’t been found as of Wednesday.                                                                                                                                                       
  • At approximately 8 p.m. on Feb. 26 on the 500 block of N. Glenwood Avenue, a vehicle had its side window and steering column broken. When searching the vehicle, a screwdriver was recovered.                                                                                                                                                           
  • At approximately 4:43 a.m. on Feb. 27 on the 900 block of N. Sheridan Road, both BUPD and Peoria Police officers responded to two ShotSpotter activations. BUPD had noticed two flashes from the sky and later recovered evidence of fireworks in the area.
