
- On Nov. 9, at approximately 1:46 p.m., BUPD and Peoria Police responded to a report of shots fired near the 1200 block of N. Frink Street. The officers located a non-Bradley-affiliated 35-year-old female who had sustained a gunshot wound to the arm. The victim had been seated inside a vehicle when another unknown vehicle approached and the suspect began firing from inside the vehicle. The victim fled the scene and was located by officers near Flora Avenue and Elizabeth Street. She was then transported to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. There is currently no suspect information, and the investigation is ongoing.
- On Nov. 13 at 4:08 a.m., four vehicles, three of them legally parked, were involved in a traffic accident. One vehicle was heading west on Main St. and struck a parked vehicle, pushing it into two other vehicles and into the side of the Main Street Commons. There was no substantial damage to the building but some damage to the vehicles. The striking vehicle fled the scene and has not been located.
- Between Nov. 7 and Nov. 12, four vehicles were broken into by an unknown number of suspects. Three of these events occurred in a similar time frame in the SAC parking lot. Unlocked vehicles were unlawfully entered and rummaged through, but nothing was taken from them. However, on Nov. 11, a similar incident occurred in Sigma Kappa’s back parking lot. An unknown suspect was caught on camera entering an unlocked vehicle and stealing loose change from the center console. A missing part of the console was discarded and later found in an alleyway, along with the change. The victim declined to have the crime lab check for fingerprints. The suspect has not been identified.
- On Nov. 8, at 4:38 p.m., a student reported his iPhone as stolen, which he had lost at Popeyes. The phone’s location was at one point identified using Find My iPhone, but it was not retrieved. It is believed that someone had gone to a store with the phone, making an attempt to sell it. The phone has not been located, and the investigation is still ongoing.
