Police Reports: October 2, 2026

  • On Sept. 24 at 4:39 p.m., BUPD and PPD were dispatched to CxT in Campustown after receiving a call related to a prior incident involving two unaffiliated individuals. The caller spotted their attacker at CxT and contacted police. Upon arrival, officers separated the two to gather more information on the case. When approached, the suspect became fidgety and grabbed his bicycle. Officers instructed him not to leave, and he responded by saying he didn’t want them to take his bike. He was reassured his bike would not be taken, but he proceeded to get on the bike and attempt to flee the scene. Officers caught up to him and placed him in handcuffs. He was taken into custody by PPD, as they had been handling the previous case. The suspect was subsequently charged with resisting and obstructing an officer in addition to his aggravated battery charges.

  • On Sept. 26, BUPD was dispatched to the Sigma Nu fraternity house shortly after a fight occurred between a group of friends at a party. The group was not known by any members of the fraternity, nor were they invited. During the incident, one of the girls had accidentally stabbed herself in the leg with a sharp object inside her pocket and was transported to the hospital. At one point, her phone had been broken by another person in the group. The victims in the group provided information on the suspects, including names and photos. Members of Sigma Nu provided statements along with video evidence of the group leaving at 1:16 a.m. An investigation for battery and criminal damage to property is ongoing.

  • Sigma Nu contacted BUPD on Sept. 26 after finding damage to property at the fraternity’s house. Security footage showed three individuals toppling over the bench outside the house at 4:44 a.m. just before running out of frame. A person matching a similar description of the other suspects was also found returning at 4:59 a.m. The suspect was caught on camera egging three cars. However, due to limited visibility on security footage, no suspects have been identified.
