Police Reports: October 28, 2022

  • At 5 p.m. on Oct. 25 at Elmwood Hall, a former Bradley student made disturbing comments to a current student. The suspect drove their car up to the victim and said “Guess what bitch, I’m not a student anymore so I’m going to ruin your life.” A different former student also messaged the victim and said they were a “tit for tat.” All parties were advised to stay away from each other. The current student was provided with appropriate counseling. 
  • At 11:10 a.m. on Oct. 25 on University Street, a suspect that is unaffiliated with Bradley fled from an investigatory stop. The driver of the vehicle had flagged down police and said they wanted the suspect out of the car. The suspect then fled, losing a Croc along the way. They were chased down University Street and Bradley Avenue before being apprehended by St. Mark Catholic Church. 
  • Around 5:34 a.m. on Oct. 20 at the Bradley Bookstore, a standup leaf blower backfired twice which caused alerts to be sent to the police. Multiple BUPD and Peoria police officers responded to the scene for a reported shot spotter on Olin Quad.
  • Around 2:02 a.m. on Oct. 23 at W Callender Avenue, officers responded to a car being broken into. No items were stolen and the suspect was not found, but they were caught on a Ring doorbell camera. The footage was not clear enough to get a good image of the suspect.
