Police Reports: October 8, 2021

  • Around 10:12 p.m. on Oct. 2 in University Hall, a resident advisor found a group of underaged students with alcohol. The alcohol was then dumped out and BUPD arrived at the dorm building. When a preliminary breath test was administered, only one student registered for consumption of alcohol while the rest of the group did not.

  • At 6:45 p.m. on Oct. 3 in Westlake Hall, the fire alarm was activated due to the water flow alarm on the third and fourth floors going off. When the Peoria Fire Department arrived at the scene, it was discovered that there were no traces of water, smoke or fire found. The PFD reset the alarm and the building was reoccupied.

  • At 4:10 p.m. on Oct. 5 at Westlake Hall, a group of people were trapped in the elevator at the basement level of the building. The elevator had stopped working due to an unknown issue. The facilities management was able to restart the elevator and get the group out safely.

  • Around 1:39 p.m. on Oct. 5, a Bradley student was involved in a traffic incident in Woodford County. The student was driving when the incident happened, but left the scene uninjured. It was unclear to the police what the driver had struck. Despite being uninjured, he was still taken to the UnityPoint Health-Methodist hospital by ambulance for evaluation.
