The Bradley women’s tennis team (1-9) traveled to Omaha, Neb., to compete on Saturday, and the Braves lost 6-1 to Omaha (6-8).

Sophomore Anna Belogliadova lost 6-1 in her first set and 6-2 in her second-set defeat in the singles competition. Freshman Ruby Tseng was shut out 6-0 in her first and almost in the second set, losing 6-1.

Junior Madi Rogers’ results were two highly competitive losses, 7-6 and 7-5. Sophomore Compassion Tsai’s sets started close, losing 6-3 before a second set 6-1 defeat. Lastly, sophomore Mariia Pukhina won her first set 6-4 and claimed Bradley’s first point victorious 7-5 in her second set.

Belogliadova and Rogers came up short 6-3 to start the doubles competition. Unfortunately, the loss caused Pukhina and Tseng’s current 5-4 match an unfinished ruling. That 6-3 win gave Omaha a sixth point, making the score 6-1 and declaring them victorious.

The Braves will look to address their past losses heading into future competitions. Bradley will travel to St. Louis, Mo. on Monday to compete against Lindenwood at the Lindenwood Tennis Complex.

With one night’s rest, the Braves will arrive at the Dwight Davis Tennis Center the next day to face Saint Louis University.
