Bradley’s men’s golf team returned to action Wednesday, with a trip to the birthplace of sliced bread, to play in this year’s edition of the Spirit Hollow Fall Shootout in Burlington, Iowa on Oct. 6. Bradley faced off against Drake and Valparaiso in what was a close three-way tussle for the entire day.

Drake secured the victory with an eight-over-par 296, a mere nine shots ahead of Bradley and 13 shots ahead of Valparaiso.

The Braves finished second with standout performances from juniors Josh Kirkham and John Stillman, along with graduate student Aaeri Krishnan.

Kirkham had another impressive performance as he shot a one-over-par 73 to tie for fourth place, barely missing out on a spot in the top three. As the Braves’ most consistent golfer this season, Kirkham delivered again, carding three birdies in his round.

Both Krishnan and Stillman tied for seventh after they shot matching rounds of 76 at Spirit Hollow. Stillman recorded the team-high four birdies and Krishnan added a pair of his own. Senior Jalen Hodges rounded out the scoring with an eight-over-par 80.

Bradley will finish their fall schedule with the Flyer invitational in Kettering, Ohio on Oct. 18 and 19.
