Four Braves traveled to Omaha, Nebraska, to compete in the Bluejay Invitational. They did so as individuals rather than as a team.
Quinn Cox turned in the top result of his Bradley career on Tuesday as the members closed out the tournament.
The senior Peoria native was a constant force throughout his effort at Shadow Ridge, posting scores of 73, 72 and 73 for a two-over-par 218. That tied him for 14th place, beating his Bradley record by 10 strokes.
TJ Quinn followed up Cox. The sophomore produced a five-over-par 221 to finish 22nd in the second event of his Bradley career.
Quinn’s most dominant round, which he produced in the first, is the best single-round score throughout his Bradley career.
Michael Johansen tied for 31st in the freshman’s Bradley debut with a 231 score. His fellow freshman, Gavin Schreurs, finished right behind Johansen with a 232, placing him tied for 33rd.
No Brave came away with any individual award, as those honors went to Owen Price of host school Creighton.
Bradley will next return to team competition as it makes its annual trip to compete for the Dolence Invitational in Madison, Wisconsin, on Sept. 28-29.
