Edge works toward live stream on Brave Life app

While a college app isn’t anything special, the Brave Life app is getting a new edge.

According to senior and Edge Radio station manager Ethan Hoerr, the station and Brave Life creators plan to join forces in order to allow students the opportunity to stream the Edge off the app.

“We wanted to make our own app, but couldn’t find reliable people,” Hoerr said. “But Brave Life is already there.”

Until the Edge joins Brave Life, students can listen to the show through the Edge website, buedgeradio.com or on channel three in the dorm rooms. When the app goes up, students will have a direct link to click that will open the stream.

The station plays 24 hours a day 365 days a year, covering everything from music to talk shows.

Hoerr said they are currently working on a new system where students can send an hour-long playlist in for the Edge to play on air.

“We’re looking for a lot of people to join [the Edge],” Hoerr said. “We never have a shortage of time slots.”

Until the Edge and Brave Life come together, Hoerr said they are trying to add videos to their television stream.

“We have all these great videos saved up, but don’t know what to do with them,” Hoerr said. “We train all DJs and a good amount of people on our executive board have had their own shows and are trained.”

The Edge is currently seeking video and audio production people, and said they would be willing to teach any new members of the staff.

To sign up for the show, applicants should email buedgeradio@gmail.com.
