Heading to the ballroom

The rhythm of this dance will be a little different as the 29th season of “Dancing with the Stars” will premiere on Sept. 14, at 8 p.m. EST on ABC with no live audience. As the dancers figure out how to tap their way through the pandemic, there are special accommodations made due to COVID-19.

Not only are there new guidelines due to the pandemic, but there is a new host. From the runway to the ballroom, Tyra Banks is taking charge this season, making history as the show’s first Black female solo host.

Now, who’s bringing their dancing shoes to the ballroom this season?

Her name was buzzin’ on TikTok and became a popular overnight sensation after the Netflix docuseries, “Tiger King.” By now, you have probably guessed it – Carole Baskin has made her way to the dance floor.

Fans can also expect to see a Disney Channel favorite from the television show, “Jessie.” Although the ballroom is no penthouse in New York, Skai Jackson has decided to grace us with her presence on the show.

Another addition to this season’s cast just might make the judges feel like it’s “hot in here,” as Grammy-winning rapper Nelly will be taking the stage.

It’s no surprise that most of the cast loves the camera. However, one celebrity on this year’s production usually prefers to expose people from behind it: Nev Schulman, TV host of “Catfish.”

This new cast has a twist of talents with head cheer coaches, athletes, actors, musical performers and more.

So, who will you be voting for to take home the Mirrorball trophy this season?
