Author visits the Hilltop

A 7 p.m. on Wednesday, Nov. 13 in the Wyckoff Room of the Cullom-Davis Library, Caitlin Horrocks, author of “The Vexations” and the story collection, “This is Not Your City,” will be on Bradley’s campus to give a public reading and meet with students. Youth guitar recital

The Bradley Preparatory School Guitar Studio will present its fall recital this Sunday, Nov. 10 at 3 p.m. in the Dingeldine Music Center. Students from ages 6 to 17 will perform alongside guest performers from the Normal, Illinois Childbloom Guitar program. This event is free and open to the public. Diversity dinner

A recruiting diversity dinner and networking event will take place on Nov. 14 from 5:30-7:30 p.m. in the student center ballroom. Participating employers will network with students and staff during a reception. The keynote address at 6:30 p.m. will provide a chance for attendees to ask questions regarding career preparation, networking and the work environment and culture.

 

Laser show at the Peoria Riverfront Museum

The Peoria Riverfront Museum will be hosting its Laser Light Nights this Saturday, Nov. 9. Multiple shows will be taking place from 6-9 p.m., the last show taking place at 9 p.m. Music from the Beatles, Pink Floyd, Led Zeppelin and more will accompany the show. Tickets for museum members are $5 for one show, or $17 for both shows. Tickets for the general public are $7 for one show, and $25 for both shows.
