Police Reports: September 19, 2025

  • Between 10:44 and 11:25 p.m. on Sept. 14, a student showering in Geisert Hall reported seeing a hand with a phone appear under her stall. When she reacted, the suspect fled the bathroom. BUPD was notified at 11:39 and began investigating immediately. Around 1 a.m., another student in Geisert reported a hand with a phone, this time reaching over her stall; the suspect again fled when noticed. BUPD has labeled the ongoing investigation as a top priority. The suspect is reportedly a male with a tan complexion and dark hair.
  • On Sept. 12 at 2:50 a.m., two Bradley students in the McDonald’s drive-thru on Western Avenue were involved in an altercation. At the window, the student in the passenger seat exited the car to check his order and was allegedly attacked by the driver of another vehicle, who grabbed his neck and punched him repeatedly unprovoked. The second student intervened, placing the suspect in a headlock. A female passenger from the suspect’s car then struck the second student. The parties separated shortly after. The suspects remain under investigation.
  • At midnight on Sept. 13, BUPD officers responded to a call for assistance at University Hall, where a female student was found having a seizure in her room. After additional seizures, she was transported by AMT to OSF Medical Center with assistance from the Peoria Fire Department.
  • On Sept. 12 at 11:48 p.m., a Bradley student received an email from an individual posing as her sorority sister. Believing this to be true, the student responded to requests for money, sending $1,000 in small increments over the following three days. The incident was reported on Sept. 15 after the student realized she had been deceived. No money has been recovered, and the investigation is ongoing.
