Police Reports: February 6, 2026

  • On Feb. 2 at 12:55 a.m., a motion detector at Jimmy John’s in Campustown alerted PPD of suspicious activity. BUPD, along with the responding PPD officers, discovered a shattered window and a large rock inside the establishment. Meanwhile, the register was short by $100. Reviewing the footage, two unknown suspects were found, both wearing face coverings and gloves. An investigation is ongoing.

 

  • On Jan. 23 at 11:59 p.m., a female Bradley student went to Saddle Up with a group of friends. However, later that night, while she was outside the main area of the club, an individual yanked her down by the hair before striking her in the head with a closed fist. The female was unable to identify the attacker; however, others claimed he was a former student. BUPD provided the victim with information regarding a no-contact order. The case is now closed.

 

  • On Jan. 22 at 8:25 p.m., a resident submitted a silent witness statement after someone knocked on their door and continued knocking for three minutes, even though the resident remained quiet to avoid it.

 

  • On Jan. 29 at 2 p.m., two employees at the BECC reported smelling cannabis in one of the bathrooms. In their BUPD report, they pointed to a contract employee. However, when questioned, the employee denied it. The reporting officer visited the bathroom and could not detect any cannabis.
