- Officers were called around 5 p.m. April 5 to the 700 block of Institute Pl. on a report of a male student trespassing. The male was on property although he had previously been banned from it. The male said he knew he was trespassing but didn’t think it was a big deal. The officers told him to leave. Around 7 p.m., an officer saw the same male drinking a beer on the basketball court of a residence in the 700 block of Institute Pl. He was issued a ticket for criminal trespassing and a Student Conduct Referral.
- An officer heard fireworks set off at the rear of a residence at 11:30 p.m. April 5 in the 1300 block of Fredonia Ave. The officer spoke to two male student residents who said they set the fireworks off. The males said they did not have any more. They were referred to Residential Life.
- An officer on patrol in the 1200 block of Main St. saw a male student fall down, then get up and push another male student to the ground and attempt to punch him around 1:30 a.m. Saturday. The first male said the second one was disrespecting his “house.” The second male said the first male pushed him for no reason. The first male was charged with aggravated battery, disorderly conduct, possession of alcohol and underage drinking and possession of marijuana under 30 grams. He was transported to Peoria County Jail.
- Three males were walking with open alcohol around 10:15 p.m. Saturday in the 700 block of Cooper Ave. One male carried a half empty bottle of vodka, and another carried a red plastic cup. When an officer told them to stop, the male with the cup threw it down on Whitter Grade School property. He was issued a ticket for littering. The other male was told to dump the vodka out and dispose of the bottle.
