Police Reports: February 4, 2022

  • At 1 a.m. on Jan. 28 in Williams Hall, a resident adviser found an intoxicated male student vomiting in one of the bathrooms during his rounds. The RA then called the police to help. When questioned, the student said that he had only consumed four cups of beer and was walked home by someone he had met that morning, and that he vomited twice when he got back to his dorm. While police tried to conduct a PCP test, the student began vomiting once more, and the police were unable to finish the test. The student was able to sign a release form and was not given any further help per request.

  • Around 7:20 a.m. on Jan. 26 in the Renaissance Coliseum, a student athlete had a seizure and was transported to OSF Saint Francis Medical Center. When the paramedics arrived at the scene, the student was not responsive but breathing. She told the paramedics that she had a history of seizures.

  • Around 11:33 a.m. on Jan. 27 in a classroom in Heuser Hall, a student passed out in the middle of class. When she was being evaluated by paramedics, she told them that the room was very warm and it made her feel faint. After her evaluation, she declined going to the hospital for any further treatment.

  • At 5:30 p.m. on Jan. 27 at Markin Recreation Center, a student believed that he had lost his wallet. Security footage in Markin captured what appeared like the student dropping his wallet; however, the shot was not clear. It also captured another student who turned out to be a friend of the victim picking up the wallet and keeping it. When asked about this, the friend claimed that he thought it was a phone. Despite this, as of Feb. 1, the student reported that none of his friends had located his wallet. A few days after the wallet went missing, someone tried to use the student’s credit card but was unsuccessful.
