- On March 12 at 2:58 p.m., a non-Bradley-affiliated individual entered the Pizza Hut in Campustown and requested insurance information related to a hit-and-run accident. The store manager claimed no such accident occurred. According to the manager, the suspect then became agitated and said they would “air this motherfucker out.” When asked by an officer if this statement implied an intent to “shoot up” the establishment, the individual confirmed. Pizza Hut chose not to press charges, but the suspect was banned from the premises and issued a warning for criminal trespass. If they return, they will be arrested.
- On September 1, a student entered their own room in an on-campus fraternity house in which another, currently unidentified, person was sleeping. The student was reportedly under the influence of alcohol and drugs. They allegedly then got on top of the sleeping individual and attempted to initiate sexual contact. The victim reported that the student tried to sexually assault them, continuing their attempts until being pushed off and leaving the room. The incident was not reported until March 7. An investigation is ongoing.
- On March 6 at 7 p.m., students were using the computers in the esports room in the basement of the Markin Recreation Center, where each station is equipped with a Bradley Esports gaming mat. When the students left for dinner, they did not lock the room. Upon returning days later, they found one of the computer mats was missing and reported it as theft. According to Student Affairs, certain individuals are authorized to remove the mats, but none of them had it in their possession. Additionally, a separate source reported that students may have attempted to pick the lock on the esports room door. BUPD is continuing to investigate.
- On March 12 at 3:53 p.m., BUPD officers observed a group of students outside two separate fraternities violating a city ordinance by consuming alcohol in public and playing loud music. Officers informed the students that public drinking was not permitted and that the music exceeded acceptable noise levels. Members of both fraternities complied by lowering the volume and bringing the alcohol indoors. No citations were issued.
