Police Reports: March 28, 2025

  • On March 25 at 7:30 p.m., a student in the St. James Apartment Complex reported receiving two prank packages and claimed it was harassment. The packages came from a website that specializes in pranks with a letter inside the boxes explaining the contents of each. The student received a “sniff my skid mark” box that contained underwear with a brown stain and a “butthole stretcher” box that contained a corkscrew. The sender of the package is unknown.
  • On March 21 at 1:47 a.m., a Shotspotter Alert indicated an unknown person discharged 12 rounds outside the patrol area radius. When officers arrived on scene, they discovered 12 empty shell casings at the location indicated by the alert. BUPD canvassed the surrounding area and confirmed it was secure before leaving. The suspect is unknown.
  • On March 23 at 12:19 p.m., two students claimed that their RA vandalized their room while the students were on spring break. When BUPD met with the RA, they said that they went into the student’s dorm to conduct a room check and discovered their window was open with a few objects knocked over. The RA claims that the storm that happened a week prior caused the blinds to break and damaged the student’s items. The students are not convinced and still believe the RA damaged their belongings.
  • On March 24 at 8:12 p.m., a student saw an unknown person walking around their off-campus house through a security camera. The student reported the unknown individual to BUPD and asked if they could search the outside of the house to make sure there was no damage or suspicious activity. When the student arrived home, they called BUPD once more and asked them to search the inside of the house to confirm everything was secure. BUPD confirmed that there were no issues outside or inside of the house.
