Letter to the Editor

A Letter to All Bradley Students:

On behalf of each of our student-athletes and my coaching staff, thank you for your support, energy and passion at Throwback Night in Renaissance Coliseum.  Our 66-65 win against Southeast Missouri State was a memorable and magical night for our team, our community, the members of the 1982 NIT Championship team, and for everyone who attended.

Your energy and support was crucial throughout the game. You created a home court advantage that was the difference in helping us win – you provided energy to us on defense, and successfully intimidated our opponent making them only 7 for 17 at the free throw line. The tremendous number of you who came, and your intensity throughout the game were the points that put us over the top.

I also want to give a special thank you to the Red Sea for their leadership and passion, to the student government and to all of the hundreds of Greeks in attendance last night.  All of you combined raised $1,072, which will be donated to philanthropies of the Sigma Gamma Rho sorority and Phi Kappa Tau fraternity.

Again, thank you for your tremendous support. I look forward to seeing you around campus in your Throwback T-shirts, which will provide a great reminder of a special night. I also hope you will come back throughout the season, starting this Saturday night at 7 pm in Carver Arena when we take on North Dakota. Busses leave from the Michel Student Center starting one hour prior to the game and admission is still only $1.

I wish you the best for a restful Thanksgiving with family and friends and a successful conclusion to the semester.

Coach Geno Ford
