Students ready to roll with NPHC

National Panhellenic Council is inviting students to its first “Rolling with NPHC” at the Peoria Palace Skating Rink on April 10.

NPHC is comprised of five African-American greek chapters, and its president Bonnie Conner said she hopes the event will provide a way for students to get to know the group’s members.

“[We want] students of Bradley University to engage with and enjoy the company of each other, but also to interact and have fun with the members of NPHC,” the senior criminal justice studies major said.

Conner said over 60 students signed up in the first hour and a half of advertising the event in the Michel Student Center.

“Many people that we have spoken to stated that they have not been skating in a long time, so we are expecting people to experience a night of fun and music with their friends and the members of NPHC,” Conner said.

The event is free and transportation is provided to the first 100 students. However, 110 students have already signed up.

Conner said students are still welcome to sign up, but there will be a $5 entrance fee and they need to find their own transportation.

NPHC hopes to keep the ball, or skates, rolling for years to come.

“The goal is definitely for this event to become an annual event,” Conner said.

Students should contact Conner at blconner@mail.bradley.edu to sign up.
