- Sometime between Halloween night and the next morning at 9:58 a.m., an unknown individual defaced the ninth-floor women’s bathroom of Geisert Hall with feces. A student worker took pictures of the scene and emailed it to the facilities manager. Multiple contradictory hateful messages, written on napkins with feces, were found in the pictures sent in the email. When BUPD was dispatched, custodial staff had already cleaned the bathroom. An investigation is ongoing.
- On Oct. 31 at 12:38 a.m., cameras caught two Bradley students walking out of a party bus and into the Campustown parking lot, where an officer’s car was parked. One of them dropped their purse in front of the car, and a BUPD officer found it at 4:51 a.m. before turning it in to the station. Upon investigating the contents for the owner, officers found makeup, money and two driver’s licenses. When they checked one of the licenses against the student’s profile, the dates of birth did not match. BUPD sent the fraudulent license to the Secretary of State as part of protocol and spoke with the underage student who owned the purse. She said she found the license outside of Saddle Up and she was going to return it to the now-21-year-old female Bradley student. When officers spoke with the older student, she said that she sent a photo while at her old college but never went through with making an ID. The Secretary of State is still reviewing the case.
- On Oct. 31 at 9:38 a.m., an unaffiliated male walked into CVS with his electric bicycle. After employees informed him he was not allowed to have it in the store, he became agitated and said he didn’t understand why. CVS employees called BUPD, and officers spoke with him. He told them that he forgot his lock and was afraid his bicycle would be stolen. Officers waited outside with his bicycle while he picked up his medication, and he retrieved it afterward. No arrests were made.
