Police Reports: April 25, 2025

  • On April 17 at 11:45 p.m., a female student reported being assaulted while dancing with friends at the Zoo Nightclub. According to the report, two men, one Bradley student and one unaffiliated individual, approached her from behind, grabbing her arms and shaking her. The female student claimed the male student punched her in the face and that she fell and hit her head on the floor while struggling to get away. She also reported that her friends were pushed when they tried to intervene. The victim reportedly ran to the bathroom and locked herself in a stall until her friends found her there. Upon returning to campus, she sought refuge at a friend’s residence, reporting that the male student claimed he would be waiting for her if she didn’t return his call. The victim reported feeling increasingly unsafe on campus after receiving threatening text messages from the male student. She returned to her home in East Peoria, declining medical attention. The messages were provided to BUPD as evidence. Officers located the suspect and placed him in custody. He was then transported to Peoria County Jail.
  • On April 18 at 4:16 p.m., five juveniles between the ages of nine and 11 were playing basketball behind the Delta Tau Delta fraternity house when one of them scaled the wall of the building and entered the house through an open window. Once inside, the juvenile unlocked a door to let the others in. One of the juveniles attempted to take a fire extinguisher but was stopped by fraternity members. The group then returned outside, where they discharged a different fire extinguisher. Although BUPD has not been able to locate the discharged extinguisher, all units belonging to the house were accounted for. All five juveniles were eventually located and released back to their guardians.
  • On April 20 at 2:30 p.m., BUPD officers responded to a report of a non-Bradley-affiliated white male loitering in the lobby of Williams Hall, where he was soliciting money from multiple students. Upon arrival, officers identified the individual as a suspect previously banned from campus due to an incident involving borrowing money from a student without repayment. This marked the third time the suspect was reminded that he is prohibited from being on campus property. He was issued a notice to appear in court for criminal trespass, and BUPD warned him not to return to campus under any circumstances.
  • On April 17 at 5 a.m., a student secured his bicycle to a rack outside the Renaissance Coliseum before departing for Canada over the holiday weekend. During his absence, several of his track teammates called to inform him that the bicycle was no longer located at the bike rack. The student reported the theft to BUPD on April 21. According to the student, the bicycle had been locked through its front wheel. The wheel was found still secured to the bike rack, detached from the rest of the bicycle, which remains missing. BUPD reported no further leads after speaking with the student.
